Photography is a space of complexity. In a world marked by accelerated and radical change, I see the medium as a way to slow down, to observe contradictions and tensions, and to hold space for ambiguity. In this work, the photograph is both transformed and interrogated through painting. Abstraction—applied through gestural marks and intuitive interventions—creates freedom and space for reflection, exploring a process of transformation that disrupts and reconfigures the reality of Bagamoyo far beyond its visible frame.
